NOLA by Bijusol is the story of three generations, three countries and one shared passion: creating beautiful things that bring people together.

Our roots lie in India, where craftsmanship is more than a skill—it is a way of life. Generations of artisans have transformed natural fabrics into wearable works of art using techniques passed down through centuries.

Our roots are in India, where craftsmanship, entrepreneurship and family have always gone hand in hand. For almost fifty years, Mozambique became home, shaping our values, strengthening our entrepreneurial spirit and enriching our culture. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, we began a new chapter in Portugal, bringing with us a heritage built across generations and continents—one that continues to inspire everything we create today.

Commerce has always been part of who we are.

In 1985, Bijusol was founded with a simple ambition: to bring the latest European fashion and accessories to Portuguese retailers. Built on trust, long-term relationships and an unwavering commitment to quality, the company steadily grew beyond Portugal.

At the beginning of the new millennium, Jatin joined his parents in the family business and helped shape a new chapter. Under his leadership, Bijusol expanded internationally, becoming a trusted partner for boutiques, independent retailers and established fashion chains across Europe, the United States and several African countries.

In 2006, I became part of both the family and the business.

Working side by side, we shared a dream that went beyond wholesale fashion.

We wanted to create something deeply personal.

A brand with soul.

A brand that honoured our Indian heritage while embracing the effortless elegance of the Mediterranean lifestyle we had come to love.

That dream became reality in 2016 with the birth of NOLA by Bijusol.

Every NOLA collection begins long before a sketch is drawn.

It begins with conversations, travels, colours, textures, traditions and the remarkable hands of artisans who continue to preserve ancient craftsmanship through embroidery, weaving, block printing and hand-finishing techniques that machines simply cannot replicate.

We choose natural fabrics such as linen, cotton, silk and viscose because they are designed to be lived in, travelled with and loved for years—not just for one season.
